On this, my fifth book, I decided to try holding a contest to give three people the chance to win a free copy of A Traveler’s Guide to Making Magic. I kept the rules simple:
* Follow me, and either:
* share image(s) of the most magical places you have visited
* share images or describe your “magical must-haves” when traveling
I decided to offer a copy to someone in the US, Canada, and the EU.
Fascinatingly, no one in the U.S. participated, so I chose the one person from outside Canada and the EU who shared their magical place . . . Nisaba Merriweather, of Australia! Her magical place is Wave Rock in Perth, Australia.

Several people, all from Portugal, came through in the “EU” category, and so I assigned them each a number, rolled a die, and the winner is . . . . / drumroll / . . . . Marta Justiniano Santos! Her magical place is Zona Oeste, outside the village of Santa Cruz, Portugal.

My largest responding group were Canadians (thanks for all the love!) and once again I assigned numbers, rolled a die and and the winner is . . . . / drumroll / . . . . Sam Wagar! His magical place is the Sharon Temple in Ontario, Canada.

Thank you to everyone who participated. It was a lot of fun to see where people feel magical.
