A few years ago, during the lockdown of the pandemic, someone I’d known in high school and I started writing letters to one another. Nothing earth-shattering, just ordinary life stories, kids grown up, post-retirement life, moving to a new place. . . . just stuff.
A few months ago, I came across an Instagram reel about a creator in the UK who is writing stories, packaging them beautifully, and mailing them out. On a whim, I joined. It’s been a few months now, and I’m having great fun!

The mail arrives in a distinctive envelope, bright red with black markings.

Opening the envelope, we pull out a gold-sealed packet, marked with the Ink & Mist Society logo.

Within that we find a glory of a “news” sheet with hidden “easter eggs,” a themed bookmark, and a 3,000 page story. The stories change, sometimes monthly, sometimes they are in installments. Always great fun.
“Take a moment for yourself, away from your screen, when you receive your mail.”
The stories are fun, and well-written.
